Inspections and quality control without paper.
Your inspectors go through each check step by step on their phone, add photos and notes, and the report is ready before they leave the site or the shop floor.
What slows quality control down today
We spoke with construction and manufacturing companies. The same problems came up everywhere.
-
Paper and retyping
Checklists filled in by hand have to be retyped later, and every retype adds mistakes.
-
Everyone checks differently
Without a shared template each team checks something else, so results cannot be compared.
-
Defects surface too late
A defect written in a notebook reaches the office days later, when the fix costs more.
-
No live overview
Managers do not know what was checked today until someone hands in a report.
-
Long audits and reporting
Hours go into assembling photos, notes and tables into a single document.
-
Inspectors’ work stays invisible
It is hard to see how many inspections were done, how long they took and where the same issues keep returning.
From template to report in three steps
- 1
Decide what to check and how
Build an inspection template once: questions with predefined answers, measurements, dates, photos, a signature, GPS location and questions that appear depending on an earlier answer. Every inspector then works from the same template.
- 2
Step-by-step inspection in the field
The inspector goes through the questions one by one on a phone, adds as many photos and notes as needed, and flags anything that fails as a defect.
- 3
The report reaches everyone at once
When the inspection is finished the report is generated in the same layout every time and sent to every party of the audit. Defects get a corrective action report.

Frequently asked questions
What is Detecto.pro?
Detecto.pro is an app for digital inspections, audits and quality control. It replaces paper forms and checklists: you build an inspection template, the inspector fills it in on site, and the report is generated automatically.
Does the inspector need a special device?
No. Detecto.pro runs in the browser, on phones and tablets too, so inspectors work on the device they already carry.
What fields can I add to a checklist?
Questions with a predefined answer set, text and number fields, date and time, checkboxes, sliders, photos, photos you can draw on, a signature, GPS location, instructions for the inspector, and conditional questions that appear depending on an earlier answer.
How are defects documented?
On every inspection item the inspector can add as many photos as needed and a note, and mark the exact spot on a photo. Anything that fails is flagged as a defect, and defects feed a corrective action report.
Who receives the inspection report?
The report is generated when the inspection is finished, always in the same layout, and sent to every party of the audit, for example the site manager, the supervising inspector or the quality department.
How do we get started?
Book a demo and we will show Detecto.pro on your own inspections. We are also looking for companies for a pilot rollout.
We are looking for pilot partners
If you run inspections on a construction site or in a plant, we will show Detecto.pro on your own example and agree what a pilot could look like.
